June Update

The title of my upcoming Pari Malik mystery book has been chosen:

Lurking on the Highwire

The title, as with the debut novel in the series, relates to an emotional state.  But it is also a reference to the featured characters, who in this story are members of a vibrant, international, cruelty-free, modern circus that performs colorful and inspirational shows for universal audiences.  The cover image will be released this summer, shortly before the book is ready for publication.  (Please sign up for my email newsletters to get immediate notifications.)

Earlier this year I experimented with new covers for the series.  My designer created stunning concepts and they were received well.  However, some mentioned confusion with the close-up images of the women's faces, mistaking the books for containing Young Adult or Romantic content.  The books (both in ebook format and print format) now have their original covers again, though the upcoming novel with deviate in style (but not typography).

I also want to wish you the best of summers.  I hope you are able to travel, visit museums and libraries, and spend meaningful time with loved ones.  Summer is the most difficult season for homeless animals.  If you are considering enlarging your family, now may be an ideal time to meet rescued animals and support your local animal protection organizations and no-kill societies.  Thank you for your support and interest in my books.
